Apply for Texas A&M University College of Dentistry’s Summer Pre-Dental Enrichment Program 

Are you a pre-dental college student looking for an opportunity to gain insight into your future career? You can now apply to Texas A&M University College of Dentistry for the 2022 Summer Pre-Dental Enrichment Program. The application deadline is January 31, 2022.

About the Program

This is a six-week program from May 16 – June 24, 2022 and will provide you the opportunity to:

  • Prepare to successfully take the DAT
  • Strengthen your academic science background
  • Learn more about the field of dental medicine
  • Broaden your interest in biomedical and clinical sciences
  • Learn useful study patterns
  • Increase your competitiveness for admission into dental school
  • Enhance your success once admitted to dental school

Preference is given to applicants who:

  • Are currently enrolled in a four-year college/university
  • Have earned a bachelor’s degree
  • Have a minimum of 16 hours of volunteer/observation experience in a dental (i.e. office, clinic, dental school).

Dental Admissions Test (DAT)

Texas A&M University College of Dentistry will pay for your DAT if taken within 6 months of the program's DAT registration deadline. If you are applying to dental school for the 2022-2023 application cycle, it’s strongly recommended you take the DAT by July 31, 2022. You are required to study for the DAT before the program begins and after it ends. Studying for the DAT should include taking multiple practice tests.

  • Create a username and password by clicking “REGISTER”
  • Complete the following assigned documents:
  • Statistical Questionnaire
  • Acknowledgement of Clery Act
  • SPEP Collegiate II Primary Application
  • Include an essay (max 500 words) stating how SPEP Collegiate II will benefit your pursuit of dentistry as a career 
  • Submit one letter of recommendation from a predental/pre-health advisory committee OR two letters from science professors from courses taken
  • Submit your current official transcripts from all accredited college/universities attended
  • If you have taken the DAT, have a copy of your scores.
