The JAMP Council has agreed to allow flexibility on courses taken as Pass/Fail during the Spring 2020 semester for JAMP criteria. This exception is being made for JAMP students currently in the program and those students that will be applying as new applicants this year (2020).

Spring 2020 Coursework

Courses that originally began as in-person, and were transitioned to an online format due to Covid-19, should be classified as regular courses (RC) rather than as distance learning (DL).

Chemistry Lab Requirement

To better serve our student population, the JAMP Council has agreed to allow flexibility with applicants to JAMP in 2020 (Entry Year 2021) who are unable to complete the General Chemistry I & II lab application requirements as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Applicants must still fulfill the General Chemistry I & II lecture requirement and must successfully complete General Chemistry I & II labs as soon as they become available at their institution. For more information, please contact your JAMP Faculty Director.

SAT/ACT

While a SAT or ACT score is required for the entry year 2021 JAMP application, the JAMP Council is aware that there may arise a situation where an applicant is unable to meet this requirement as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Applicants in this scenario will have their situations reviewed by the JAMP Council on an individual basis.
