TXHES Partners with TCU Executive Education to Offer Programming for Professional School Attendees

The 2025 TAAHP Conference, hosted by Burnett School of Medicine at TCU from March 6-8 in Fort Worth, marks an exciting development with the addition of a Professional Development Track tailored to professional school staff. This new offering reflects TAAHP’s commitment to fostering growth across all levels of the health education pipeline by providing resources and opportunities that empower professionals to embrace leadership, agility, and innovation in their roles.

Executive Presence at the Forefront

The centerpiece of this year’s professional development programming is a 90-minute session led by Jim Roach, Executive Director of Executive Education at TCU’s Neeley School of Business. Roach brings decades of expertise in cultivating executive presence, helping leaders build confidence, poise, and the ability to navigate high-pressure situations with agility.

“Our goal is to help professionals think differently, embrace and manage growth, and learn with agility,” said Roach. “Executive Presence is about inspiring confidence, building connections, and sharing a clear vision with authenticity and purpose. This program strengthens leadership presence and equips participants to align teams, engage stakeholders, and lead with impact...” all of which are critical for professionals in admissions and advising roles.

“This is an important development for the TAAHP conference, as it provides valuable programming designed to strengthen leadership skills among our colleagues across Texas. Hosting an industry expert like Mr. Jim Roach aligns perfectly with our goals to offer quality programming for attendees from our health-related institutions,” said Dr. Matthew Meeks, Executive Director of TXHES.

The session will explore practical tools to lead more effectively, foster growth within teams, and strengthen institutional collaborations. By equipping participants with these skills, TAAHP continues to invest in the professional growth of those working behind the scenes to support future health professionals.
