TMDSAS and JAMP are on a mission to support advisors and the pre-health community
in reaching and empowering aspiring dentists, physicians, podiatrists, and veterinarians
with educational resources to help enhance their preparation for a career in the health
professions.

Dr. Vanessa Hernandez entered JAMP as a college student from Odessa with a dream of becoming a physician. Her path from JAMP summer internships to medical school, residency, and advanced specialty training reflects both her determination and the lasting impact that opportunity and mentorship can have on a future physician.
JAMP is expanding its support for scholars with two new initiatives designed to meet needs both inside and outside the classroom. An emergency fund will help scholars facing unexpected financial challenges, while new research funding will create more opportunities for students to explore their interests, gain experience, and prepare for their future in medicine.
